Open Source Matters (OSM) is pleased to announce our recent election results and we welcome five new members to the OSM Board of Directors. The newly-elected members are:

• Lorenzo Garcia
• Dave Huelsmann
• Wendy Robinson
• Rob Schley

They will serve two-year terms, effective immediately, ending or renewing in February 2010. The wealth of experience and breadth of skills these new members bring to the OSM board will bolster its work as the administrative umbrella for legal and financial support for the Joomla! project, as well as ensuring Joomla! exists beyond the participation of individual volunteers.

With the recent release of Joomla 1.5, the future of the Joomla Project has taken a quantum leap forward. This new OSM board will help the Joomla Team take Joomla to new heights in 2008 and beyond.

Two board members (Christopher Justice and Johan Janssens) have resigned from the OSM board in order to spend more time with their families and on other projects. Both have done an outstanding service as board members and have made immeasurable contributions to the Joomla Project.
